Vice Principal of Liberal Music & Arts School, Mr Calvin is a Trinity Guildhall Rockschool certified teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience and a remarkable international career as a recording artist, TV performer, and award-winning musician across Southeast Asia.

Education Background

Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance and Sound Design University of West London

Achievements & Experience

A certified Trinity Guildhall Rockschool Teacher with over 15 years of music teaching experience, Mr Calvin has been part of the Liberal Music & Arts School team since 2021. His dynamic, energetic teaching style makes every lesson engaging and effective for learners of all ages.

Beyond the classroom, Mr Calvin has built an impressive international career as a performing and recording artist. In 2017, he was signed under Positif Art Artist Management and collaborated with Warner Music Indonesia as a pop artist. He was recognised by the Pelangi Awards in Brunei as one of the Top 5 Best Artists in both 2014 and 2016, and has composed more than 20 original compositions aired across Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

His competitive achievements span multiple disciplines — claiming the World Drumming Competition Drums Champion title (2008), winning the Hip Hop Dance Competition Championship in 2007 and 2015, and taking 1st place for five consecutive years in the Battle of the Bands competition during high school.

Mr Calvin has also appeared on numerous international television channels, including Suria Mediacorp (Singapore), RTB (Brunei), Channel News Asia (China), Dahsyat (Indonesia), Inbox TV (Indonesia), and Planet Remaja (Indonesia) — bringing his artistry and passion for music to audiences across the region.
