How do guitar lessons progress?
Guitar at Le Quest follows RSL Rockschool and Trinity Rock & Pop — modern repertoire, improvisation built in, no theory gate. See the comparison in our exam board guide.
- First chords. Open chords, strumming patterns, simple riffs and clean changes in time.
- Debut–Grade 2. First Rockschool/Trinity exams: set songs, technical work and simple improvisation.
- Grades 3–5. Barre chords, lead techniques and tone control across pop, rock and blues.
- Grades 6–8. Advanced lead and rhythm playing, stylistic fluency and performance-standard mocks.
