How do violin lessons progress?
Violin at Liberal follows the ABRSM strings pathway to Grade 8 — the ladder and Grade 5 Theory rule are in our ABRSM guide.
- Foundations. Posture, bow hold, open strings and first finger patterns.
- Initial–Grade 2. First ABRSM exams with simple repertoire, scales and aural.
- Grades 3–5. Shifting, early vibrato, richer repertoire; theory toward the Grade 5 gateway.
- Grades 6–8. Advanced positions, expressive playing, full mock exams.
