Liberal Music & Arts School offers violin lessons in Tengah at 127A Plantation Crescent, #01-381 (Plantation Plaza). Children typically start from age 4–5 on fractional-size violins, progressing through the ABRSM strings pathway to Grade 8, with weekend classes from 9am.

How do violin lessons progress?
Violin at Tengah follows the ABRSM strings pathway to Grade 8 — posture and intonation first. See the grade ladder and Grade 5 Theory rule in our ABRSM guide.
- Foundations. Posture, bow hold, open strings and first finger patterns on a correctly sized instrument.
- Initial–Grade 2. First ABRSM exams with simple repertoire, scales and aural — entered when ready, not by the calendar.
- Grades 3–5. Shifting, vibrato foundations, richer repertoire; theory runs in parallel toward the Grade 5 gateway.
- Grades 6–8. Advanced positions, expressive interpretation and full mock exams to ABRSM standard.
