Why learn drums at the Jurong Point flagship?
The flagship, above the MRT
Our biggest studio yet — Level 3 of Jurong Point, a lift ride from Boon Lay MRT, with every Liberal programme and our best teachers under one roof.
Real kits, real songs
Full acoustic and electronic kits in equipped rooms — grooves from songs students know, volume-controlled where needed.
Music and art, same level
Sister studio Coloury Art By Liberal is already open at #03-07C on the same floor — music and art lessons a short walk apart in one mall trip.
How do drums lessons progress?
Drums at Liberal follows Trinity Rock & Pop and RSL Rockschool — contemporary boards with no theory prerequisite, taught from Debut through Grade 8 to Diploma level; compare with ABRSM in our exam board guide.
- First beats. Stick grip, posture and basic rock grooves from lesson one.
- Debut–Grade 2. First Rockschool/Trinity exams — set pieces and playback tests.
- Grades 3–5. Ghost notes, dynamics, fills across rock, pop and funk.
- Grades 6–8. Advanced independence and session-level grooves, with mock exams.
- Diploma. Beyond Grade 8 — performance diploma preparation for drummers who want to go further.
