How do drums lessons progress?

- First beats. Stick grip, posture, basic rock grooves and fills — playing along to music from the very first lessons.
- Debut–Grade 2. First Rockschool/Trinity exams: set pieces, technical exercises and simple playback tests.
- Grades 3–5. Ghost notes, dynamics, odd fills and style-switching across rock, pop and funk.
- Grades 6–8. Advanced independence, session-level grooves and full mock exams before the real assessment.
