Liberal Music & Arts School offers piano lessons in Tengah at our headquarters studio, 127A Plantation Crescent, #01-381 (Plantation Plaza, next to McDonald's). Classes run seven days a week — weekends from 9am — following the ABRSM pathway from beginner to Grade 8, with a 99% pass rate across the school.

The headquarters studio
Tengah is Liberal's HQ — our newest, purpose-built studio, brought right into Singapore's forest town so Plantation families don't cross the island for quality piano teaching.
Weekend mornings from 9am
Tengah runs Saturday and Sunday classes from 9am — prime slots for young children who learn best fresh, before the day fills up.
ABRSM from day one
Sight-reading, aural and theory are trained weekly alongside pieces — the difference between scraping a Pass and earning a Distinction.
How do piano lessons progress?
Piano at Tengah follows the ABRSM pathway from Initial Grade to Grade 8. Our ABRSM Singapore guide covers the grades, pass marks and the Grade 5 Theory rule.
- Foundations. Posture, hand shape, reading both clefs and first pieces — with musicianship games for our youngest starters.
- Initial–Grade 2. First ABRSM exams: three pieces, scales, sight-reading and aural, entered only when genuinely ready.
- Grades 3–5. Repertoire deepens; Music Theory begins in parallel so the Grade 5 gateway is banked early.
- Grades 6–8. Advanced repertoire, mock assessments to exam standard, and recital stage-time before the real day.
